Questions, answered

Is Scenic Way free?

Planning is completely free: build routes with waypoints, browse the 25 featured routes and share with friends. Your first 2 journeys with full turn-by-turn navigation are free too. After that, Scenic Way Pro (£2.99/month or £24.99/year, with a 7-day free trial) unlocks unlimited navigation, CarPlay, speed-camera alerts and the loop generator.

Does Scenic Way work with CarPlay?

Yes. Scenic Way Pro includes full turn-by-turn navigation on CarPlay, with live traffic, your planned waypoints and a skip-stop button on the car display.

How is it different from Google Maps or Apple Maps?

Ordinary sat-navs optimise for one thing: arriving as fast as possible. Scenic Way plans the route you actually want to travel, through the coast roads, passes and villages you choose, and tells you honestly how much longer the scenic option takes. Then it navigates it properly, with no surprise "corrections" back onto the motorway.

Is it just for driving?

No. The same scenic planning and navigation works for walking, running and cycling, and the featured routes include classic walks like Mam Tor and the Seven Sisters, and rides like the Camel Trail and Monsal Trail.

Where does Scenic Way work?

Scenic Way is built for the UK and Europe, on iPhone (iOS 17 or later). Speed-camera alerts respect local laws and are disabled where they're not permitted.
